Ottawa Explosion Weekend presents...

Saturday June 16th 2018

Steve Adamyk BAND (Ottawa, ON)

Steve Adamyk Band are an Ottawa based punk band, formed in 2010 out of the ashes of Million Dollar Marxists and Sedatives. Past members have done time with Crusades, Priors, Sonic Avenues, Mother’s Children and Pregnancy Scares, to name a few. After touring Europe three times, Japan and numerous US tours, SAB return to the EU this summer and will be launching their 6th LP on Dirtnap Records in the fall. Current members include Pat of The Acorn/Telecomo and Johnny of M$M/Warp Lines.

The hurtin’ boys are doing it again. Hooligan pop music from Sudbury, ON . New 12″ record on Slovenly Recordings coming soon.

Hakan (Bergamo, IT)

Featuring members of The Snookys, here’s a band concept for you: Italians obsessed with Turkish popular culture, playing a killer mix of garage punk and power pop. Think early Marked Men with a snottier edge, Radioactivity, Kidnappers, even Mind Spiders.

Devil Eyes (Montreal, QC)

Devil Eyes formed in Montreal in 2006 and by 2009 was one of the most notorious noise punk bands to ever emerge from Canada. Their self-titled LP on Signed By Force records charted around the world and the band spent a few years touring steadily everywhere from Halifax to Louisiana. Shows were known to get wild, with instruments and bodies smashed on the regular. After a few more albums and tours, Devil Eyes went on hiatus in 2014, but plan several reunion shows in summer 2018.

The Shame (Ottawa, ON)

THE SHAME is the sound of expelling demons onto the world through chaotic mayhem riffs. Thunderous drums and slick bass lines to bang around in your head like an orgy of sound. You won’t know what hit you! THE SHAME is Rock n Roll. THE SHAME is punk. THE SHAME will make you cry out for more as all your problems drift away into nothing but the buzzing of amps.
